The baseline missile will be developed and fielded to engage a wide variety of targets at ranges out to more than 400 kilometers, emphasize imprecisely located area and point targets, and comply with the 2008 DOD policy on cluster munitions and unintended harm to civilians. Primary emphasis for follow-on increments will include increased range, lethality, and engagement of time-sensitive, moving, hardened, and fleeting targets.
