Patriot is a distributed air-defence system, not a single missile or truck. A battery combines sensors, command equipment, power and launchers with a selected interceptor mix.
Technical data
The system in detail
The representative launcher uses an inclined canister frame on a trailer. Radar and command vehicles are separate equipment and are not hidden inside that launcher model.1
PAC-3-family missiles and other Patriot interceptors have different configurations. Launcher packing, radar standard and software determine the supported equipment set.1
This profile is a Patriot/PAC-3 system overview. It does not merge every radar upgrade and interceptor into one universal battery specification.1
A maximum missile range is not a circular guarantee of defended area. Compare threat type, sensor installation and interceptor version while leaving undisclosed engagement performance unresolved.1
