The system in detail
A substantial receiver, barrel assembly and folding bipod define the portable configuration. Vehicle mounts change the complete system footprint.1
The design uses an open-bolt operating cycle and a replaceable barrel assembly. These are identification features, not instructions for handling or altering the weapon.1
This record covers the shoulder-stock MG5 configuration. Vehicle and specialised variants can omit or alter furniture and therefore require separate mass and dimensions.1
Compare weapon-only mass with equivalent systems, then add ammunition and mounting equipment separately. Cyclic firing rate is not a sustained-use rate.1
