Design and role
The US Navy identifies the SPY-6 Air and Missile Defense Radar with Flight III. Class-level information can still combine vessels from multiple flights, so each table row needs a configuration check.

Arleigh Burke destroyers are grouped into flights with important equipment differences. Flight III should be compared as its own configuration rather than as an average of the entire class.

Launch cells, displacement and radar descriptions answer different questions. Neither the number of cells nor a radar label establishes a ship’s loaded missile mix, availability or probability of interception.
Arleigh Burke equipment records. Variants, orders and quantities are shown as reported in each inventory source; coverage is incomplete.
Naval inventory of the source class and listed configurations; excludes orders and construction. Source-year holdings, not immediately deployable strength.
